I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of anyone doing art with the munny toy, but I had the opportunity to not too long ago and I actually had a good time doing it. Browse through the photos and check out the finished product.

A Brand New Munny Doll

Composition

The Beginning Stages

At first I took his arms off as you can achieve this with a slight tug. Then I proceeded to cut his arms in half using an exacto knife. After I did that, I began to work on his legs. I first cut out the entire sole of his feet, then I applied a flat piece of super sculpy inside the portion in which I cut out. I then used bailing wire to build an armature so I didn’t have to use so much clay (It will never harden if you leave it too thick).

After I applied the sculpting clay where I wanted it. I boiled it for 4 minutes (be careful not to press on the munny doll too hard when pulling it out of the water, he’s made of vinyl), you can also bake the munny doll to harden the clay. I didn’t want to risk melting the munny doll, so I decided to boil just to be safe.

After the clay has hardened, use a coarse to fine grit sand paper to smooth out all the imperfections (this may take a while).

I wound up giving him a tail to support his weight since his legs are bones. Haha. I hope you enjoyed this post. Please share.
