Remember Garbage Pail Kids cards? I do, I remember having hundreds if not thousands of them. I must have spent every dollar I had on them when I was a kid (Even know I was Poor).
This is pretty much all we had to play with, Atari’s were somewhat unpopular. It was play outside, collect baseball cards, or Garbage Pail Kids for that Matter.
The Children of today are spoiled beyond belief. I see many children with their own cell phones, several game systems. No wonder the rate of child obesity has skyrocketed.
I’ve listed below some of my favorite Garbage Pail Kids that I was able to find on the net, both old and a few new ones. It was surprising to me that there where two other sets of cards that came out even earlier than Garbage Pail Kids, some of which I’ve just learned of.
Wacky Packages are some really cool cards depicting common commercial products that have been re-drawn into a humor based trading Card.
Another Cool set of cards that came out in the 60′s and 70′s are Odd Rods which put an artistical comical standpoint on both Cars and trucks and things Auto-related, I’m sure you’ll like them as well.
